Like on a guitar.
Anyone have a Ukulele like this?
Any comments on difference in
comfort or playability?
'Concert' is my favorite size.

Thank you.

JS Kamaka has a radiused FB. Dave Sigman (Little River Ukes) is also using RFB in his builds.

I have a custom tenor with an 18" radius. It is a pretty gentle radius and to tell the truth I conciously can't really tell the difference between it and a flat fretboard. I do like having the radius though and have a concert on order with a 16" radius. Maybe that one will be more noticable.

Thanks for the replies!

K916,
I'll surf over & check those sites.

GX9901,
Nice ghetto! Congrats on another new uke.
Please keep us posted, best of luck!

Not having experienced this after all
those years of guitar just makes me
wonder. Will report back when/if I
discover the 'hidden truth.'

i'm all for it...

Aloha,

I'm a little biased on this because my only experience with radiused fretboards on ukes have been from some of my favorite luthiers to begin with. I have a number of ukes up on my site that have already sold but have been handcrafted with a radiused fretboard.

The photos and descriptions are still listed on my web page if you would like to take a look at some of the caliber of instruments nowadays that are beginning to incorporate this wonderful feature.

Feel free to stop in whenever you have a chance.

Shawn,
Thanks for the reply & link, I'm sure I'll enjoy
window shopping it again & again.

I'm getting the message: a custom uke is
required if I wish to enjoy a RFB. But, do I?
We'll just casually snoop about & see.

Thanks all,
rabbit
