Happy. Koaloha 20th to the Okami family!

Big party for the Koaloha ohana in Honolulu today to celebrate 20 yrs! Would love to hear about it from someone who goes!

Meanwhile, I'll be here on Long Island, hoping the Okami family feels the love!

For me, the Koaloha ukulele has a very special, warm, round sound. I am very thankful to be an owner and very grateful to have met Moms and Pops. Special aloha and mahalo to them on this most beautiful day!

I wish I was there too. I hope they post pics on their social networking pages. I have not had the honor of meeting them in person but they are definitely a special family company. Rare these days.

Yes...family companies are too rare these days. I just love the Okamis' dedication to quality. I hope you get to visit the factory someday, an unforgettable experience.

Oh actually, I think family companies are everywhere. But most of them dont act like a real family company like these guys. I know man, I kick myself. I've been to Oahu so many times and every time I say I'm going to do the factory tour but just end up surfing lol.
