Yet another Indestructable: http://www.instructables.com/id/Constructing-the-Laser-cut-folding-ukulele/

It's a laser-cut kit. From the page: This folding ukulele is a soprano-size instrument that can be folded up into a package measuring about 9 inches long max. Looks like it compacts to about 9x5x2 inches. Hey, that's small enough to throw into my day bag! Should be about perfect for an airline carry-on. Now folks can stop whining about their travails with uncompromising flight attendants.

Hi kOkOpeli

I've seen these before and they are highly creative. What a clever invention and it would be ideal for people who like building. For me I prefer an easier approach. The idea behind the ItsyBitsyUke was for it to have a scale of 165mm, be fully playable straight away and to help generate a feel good atmosphere e.g. birthdays, beach... It's playable straightaway, less time building and more time playing.

I reackon the ItsyBitsyUke would also make the ideal travel uke. However, this uke is so cute you don't need to pack it into your bag, you just keep it in a pocket.
