Been thru all my chord charts and to the Sheep....

What is an Ab???
I know its a chord but what would the "tab" be?
Does it exist in ukeland?
It's in my Jack Johnson Song book in the song "Inaudible Memories".

Isn't that the same as a G#?

Yes. It's the same as G# - 5343 is one way to play it.

Ab and G# are the same chord
I know of three ways to play it

1343
5343 - Barr it
888(11)

Hey Freedive

That 2nd shape is real useful to memorize. Starting with the Barr at the 1st fret the shape would be 3121 which is a (F#/Gb) every fret you go up the neck with that shape will make a major chord 1 semitone (half step) higher.

So from the bar on fret 1 using that shape you can play:
(F#/Gb), (G), (G#/Ab), (A),(A#/Bb), (B), (C), (C#/Db),(D),(D#/Eb), (E), (F)

So that shape with the Barr at the 7th fret is a C. Hope that is helpful.

Aw jeez, you were probably just looking for an open fingering for the Ab.

You asked the same question in this thread (http://www.ukuleleunderground.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10909).

Not quite but close, that was more of a statement:D

I was working on the "tab" in one window when I asked in an other.
