pickups

I have a kamaka tenor, and I feel incomplete without a pickup installed..any ideas where I can get one installed? should i ask my local music shop where i bought it? any ideas guys? i live in the bay area of CA. and whats the kind of pickup that doesnt use batteries. just plug in and play

You can try the local shops up there or one of the local luthiers. Mike DaSilva or Peter Hurney of Pohaku Ukuleles, they are located in Berkley. Contact info can be found on their sites. Give 'em a call and ask what they charge . . .
