EXCELLENT instrument. I can't tell you how pleased I am with this purchase. I went to McCabe's In Santa Monica, and they gave me a great deal where the instrument itself came out to around 155. It has a solid mahogany top, and it sounds just delightful.

I will recommend this uke to anyone (i like)

Videos are always interesting (well, often interesting!), but beware of judging the sound of a uke that way. Recordings can make good-sounding ukes sound poor, and poor ones sound good. Those solid fronted Ohanas ALL sound good. At least all the one's I've played, or heard live.

Ukantor.

sagrr, I'm deciding on my first uke as well, as i've never played the uke before. Why did you decide to go with the concert size rather than soprano? Does your size matter on what size uke u get?

I just got the ck-20s and the tk-20s in couple days ago and agree. Even with only a solid top you get much better tone than a completely laminate instrument. Great value in 150 to 200 dollar price range.
