Does anyone know why Uncle Rod would include this progression in his bootcamp? In particular, I'm looking at the minor 6th chord and thinking I've never had to play a minor 6 chord. I can see how the other four progressions are very common and contain most chords a casual player will ever need to play folk, blues, and pop.

If iv6 is common in jazz, then from what little I know about jazz, you'll need far more than minor 6 chords if you're attempting jazz.

Thanks for the clear explanation. Now I have a new appreciation for Uncle Rod's bootcamp. I will work the min6 chord shapes into my routine.
