Hi

Does anyone know if it is possible to play the Cadd9/B chord on the ukulele.

If you can't play is there another chord I could use as well? It can't be Cadd9 as I use this chord before so need to hear the chord change

Thanks

Well, technically it wouldn't be possible, as it's a five-note chord. The Cadd9 adds a D to the C chord (CEG+D), which uses up all four strings you have before you can add the B bass note. You can probably find a suitable substitute, but it would depend on the song you are playing.

Thanks Rich. I thought as much but wanted to check!

The chord sequence is C Cadd9 Cadd9/B so I'll need to play around for a substitute

If you have a low g string, you can put the B on the 4th fret of the 4th string. For the 9, you will need a D, which you can do on the 3rd string 2nd fret, then top of the chord with open E string and 3rd fret first string. So youll end up getting from 4th to 1st string BDEC (4203).

Can you do 5 4 3 5 (C E G D) to 4 4 3 5 (B E G D). The second chord lacks "C" but you can't please everyone but Elvis.

Other possibilities are

5 4 3 5 (C E G D) to 4 0 0 5 (B C E D)

5 0 0 5 (C E G D) to 4 0 0 5 (B C E D)

The last one is definitely easier (for me)

Thanks everyone

I'll try the suggestions and see which one fits best!

Simpler would be 0003 to 0005 to 4005
