Jake Shimabukuro's Technique

I have been watching videos of Jake playing, and there are certain parts of songs (usually the intro) where Jake plays these ridiculously fast scales up and down the fretboard.

So my question is - how does he do it? Is it just a bunch of hammer ons and pull offs? Can someone give me an idea of the basic technique so I can work on it for my performances?

yeah shredding the uke is hard. just basic scales up and down. Different chords adding different notes to it. Hammering off and pulling off certain notes.
Hard too pull off.
