is the any sort of chart for the uke that shows what note each pluck creates on any given string and fret?

for example, if i wanted to create a picking pattern and i wanted to find where to pluck and on which string to pluck.... like if i wanted to make a simple picking pattern: A,G,E,C,D. Is there a chart that shows which string to pluck and at which fret for each note?

Sorry that was so confusing....:p

I went to this website that said their was a picking pattern were you could have any chord shape and all you do is pluck the open strings in this order 1,2,3,1,2,4.

1=A 2=E 3=C 4=G (for the newbies :D jk)

practice, practice, practice

I'm guessing that you're not very coordinated, so you can't quite get the right string, fret, and finger at the same time.

Try these:

Left hand exercise (http://ukuleleunderground.com/2009/03/07/uke-minutes-39-left-hand-exercise-i/)

Scale exercise II (http://ukuleleunderground.com/2008/11/22/uke-minutes-29-scale-exercise-ii/)

Scale exercise I (http://ukuleleunderground.com/2008/11/15/uke-minutes-28-scale-exercise-i/)

In-to-out picking (http://ukuleleunderground.com/2008/04/12/uke-minutes-11-in-to-out-picking/)

For some practice, practice, practice :D

Have fun!!!

if you leave your tuner on your uke you can see the notes you're playing.
