Sold: Vintage Martin Style 1C Concert Ukulele.
Great player in very good used condition, with normal wear from use. It has one professionally cleated and glued 4" back crack repaired by Jim Lombard, Martin authorized repair person. There is also a possible 1" crack on the back at the inside edge of the kerfed lining at the treble side of the lower bout. It has been stable in the ten years I have owned the uke. There is a small chip at the rear of the bridge. The finish is original with some crazing.
The wood is attractive dark mahogany with tortoise plastic binding and a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard. It has T-frets and ebony nut and saddle. The bridge and string slots are perfect. It has the original Grover Champion tuners with black buttons.
This hard-to-find concert size Martin is made a bit more special by having the "Made In USA" stamp on the back of the peghead, indicating it was for export. It comes with an excellent Harptone hard shell case.
Here are links to two sound samples done with this instrument, with my brother Mike Mullins on mandolin. The first is an original fingerstyle tune “Pahoehoe Hop” and the second one, featuring strumming is “Slidin' the Strings.

This was my favorite player for years, but I only play tenor-scale now. $1100 plus $42.74 USPS insured shipping. Serious offers considered. More pictures on request.
