Anybody who's got a scrap microwave oven can do this

..I wonder if it affects the soundboard tone much .... It should look good on the the headstock plate tho'.

Cool effect. Doesn't look like it burns too deeply into the wood either

Don't be afraid Beau, it's the AMP's that kill not the voltage...Maybe a 12 volt auto coil would do the job

This sounds like the perfect project for you Ken. Think Dr. Frankenstein. It ukulele lives!!! Can't wait for the pictures... Oh and I'm with Beau. 2,000 volts might not kill you like amps but it's certainly going to make your hair stand on end... Also wondering how such burnt channels are going to sand and fill. Hmmmm...
