I was surfin' thru eBay and came across this animal a Ukrainian 4 string Domra Prima. Anyone here familiar with this instrument?
I wonder how this thing would sound tuned to low G.

My mom used to have a Shamisen the Japanese version of the Sanshin except the Japanese use cat belly skin instead of snake skin. My mom had it hanging on the wall for decoration and I always felt sorry for the cat cause you could see the kitty nipples in the hide.:confused::(

I have some Domras (and Balalaikas):

I never knew what to do with them. The 4-string Domra right now is tuned like a mandolin, but a mandolin sounds way better...

WOW, cool, do you have a Youtube vid of you playing your Domra? ;)
