1920s Oscar Schmidt 5K

Wow what a beauty! This one will be home next week from Jake's shop in the mountains of Vermont after a little TLC. We're thinking this one is a one-off custom build for someone that wanted a maxed out 5K. Even the fretboard and the bridge are flame koa. Amazing, tedious hand work with all that pearl and abalone. Just beautiful!

That's really a great site in general. I spent hours yesterday browsing the Museum section and looking at the numerous pictures of restored ukuleles and other stringed instruments. A treasure trove.
