help choosing my 2nd uke

I believe those are the same ukes. Makala is Kala's low line, and while most people say they're a great starter uke, I would suggest saving a while and starting to move up if you're really motivated to keep playing. As time goes on you're going to get that itch for a solid top...then an all solid...then an all solid KOA...then an all solid koa built in Hawai'i - It happened to me...

Uke History:

Lanikai Baritone
Pono Tenor
Pono Soprano
Kala Tenor
Tangi Sopranino
Kanile'a Soprano (the crown jewel of the group)
Ohana Sopranino
Pono Tenor
Kala Soprano

MUST...STOP...NOW....except you'll notice no concerts in the mix...
