my magic self plucking g-string

heyup uu!!

does anyone else have this? when i pick my E string 3rd fret, my G string vibrates

(i pick it alot)

(i'm a boy OMG!!!)

anyways, it's not really a problem, only when i'm playing the intro to wonderful tonight with the hammer from E3-5 and i'm like WTF, the note i just took off is still playing AHHHHHH

but yeah, it's quite funny really,
i have a magic G string (oh those g-string jokes again)

also works for G2 and Astring

Your E string, 3rd fret is sounding a G note...so your G string vibrates with it. My uke instructor uses the term sympathetic vibrations and uses it to help be sure the uke is in tune with itself (well...he has me use it - he can tell by ear...)

the frequency that your playing with your E string is the natural frequency of the g string, thus it will vibrate along with it

if you don't like that effect, you can try muting the g string with your palm when you play those licks...
