This is an old tune by Warren Zavon, maybe better know by Linda Ronstadt's cover from her Simple Dreams album. That's where I learned it anyway. My son and I were fooling around with the Helicon XGT I purchased recently. This is one of the tunes we recorded.

Nice to hear the Uke with the bass. Good job! I've always liked that tune, but I just can't stand the druggie lyrics. They're way too depressing for me.

Thanks George. I believe others may share you view of the lyrics which is one of the reasons I haven't introduced this tune to our uke group and rather performed it with only my son. Some may find it depressing but I really like the song, unfortunately it is many peoples story...
