Hey uu. I've been posting on here for about a week now, and you guys are a great help. thanks.

Here is my last question though for a while.

Currently I have a lanikai baritone. I really need suggestions finding a baritone, most places i find don't have a lot of baritones compared to the other sizes.

I will probably spend 250 at the most. Maybe 275, I'm not looking for anything really great.

How is this one?

Can someone please lead me in the right direction with getting a new baritone?

Boy $169.99 sounds like a bargain for a solid Mahogany Baritone. From what I gather It's European in origin though not sure what country. She looks great in the pictures. I'd love to hear a review on the Silver Creek Baritone too.

I don't know much about Baritones, but I have read online from some who are into baris that the Lanikai solid spruced topped ones are great. Someone who played it back to back with a vintage Martin baritone actually preferred the Lanikai.

Here's the post from FMM forum about the Lanikai vs Martin baritones: http://www.fleamarketmusic.com/bulletin/bulletin-single.asp?popup=true&BulletinID=19425

The Silver Creek baritone, being all solid, looks like a very nice deal too. I don't know how they sound, but Silver Creek guitars seem to get pretty good reviews.

Thanks guys, I think I might go with the silver creek probably if you guys think it will be a good deal.

I'll check out the other lanikai baritones too.

What about Samick ukuleles? I beleive it's called a Greg bennit?

should i avoid that one too. The price looks good, but I don't think it would be that good since you get what you pay for.

I think my nect will be a baritone as well, but thinking I'll save pennies for maybe a Koolau or Kanilea.

i got a kamaka baritone in kauai with thte electric pickup reasonable price nice mellow warm sound

I have a Greg Bennett - it is nice to look at and plays pretty good. It made me really love the sound of baritones. There's not much to choose from in Australia though. I would consider the Greg Bennett an entry level instrument. I am actually thinking of upgrading...

That Silver Creek looks like the exact ukulele that is sold under the name "Koloa," which Elderly used to sell for $158 delivered. (They're not stocking it as I write, but I've seen it other places on the web.) I obtained one in a trade with someone on FMM, and after I put Aquilas on it, I was blown away by how big and boomy it was. It sounded pretty close to my Martin, which is my favorite baritone ever. The Koloa was a terrific instrument - lightly built, solid mahogany, real bone saddle. The finish was typical Asian mass-produced glossy urethane, but it didn't seem to hurt the tone. It was a pretty uke in a generic way. Two things to note: The Koloa was just a little longer than most baritones, so it was a tight fit in my old chipboard case. Also, the string spacing seemed pretty wide, although not uncomfortably so. It occurred to me that these would be great candidates for baritone-to-bass conversions.

Of course, there are a lot of variables and this is all subjective. A friend picked up a Koloa bari after my enthusiastic endorsement, and he said that it was a nice uke, but not in the same league with his higher-end baris.

Here's the Koloa website:
