Fascinating. Another difference: The decorative b/w on the fretboard binding follows the b/w on the pick-guard and does not continue up the neck like it does on the one offered for sale. This is kind of like a "find Waldo" thing.

I guess it could have been a custom build for Hank Snow but not the one he's pictured with. Google images show him pictured playing a variety of different guitars. Probably another case of Guitar Acquisition Syndrome
 
Several posts in the online Gibson forums assert that the original guitar from the album cover is in the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville, TN.
Here's one post that talks about the discrepancies between the guitar offered by the eBay seller and the guitar on the album cover photo.
