Finally, we have us some winnerzzz!!! Thanks so much to everyone that participated. Also, a big fat Rayon style “MAHALOZ” for your patience during the judging process. There were over 140 entries and it was one hell of a time trying to decide on the top 3.

Without further ado, here they are:

1st place: Khrome winz an Ohana Sopranino and post whore poetry book

The Post Whore is an interesting creature, you see
So much more than a Senior Member, times three
Logged in for 25 hours a day
It seems that his username never goes away.

In the day, his browser is hidden beneath windows
Of Word docs and spreadsheets so no one will know
Just how much time he spends
talking about

Flukebazzles
Stringazzles
KoAlohazzles
and Fleas

Kamakoogles
Ponowaggles
Tunergaggles
and V's

At night the Post Whore plinks on his stick
He plinks and he plinks

and plinks,
plinks,
plinks,
plink!

Then he films himself plinking
And posts it on YouTube
Finds others to plink with
Showing that they are no uke noobs

The Post Whore is an interesting creature, you see
Without them, UU would be as boring as peas
That is why they are tagged, so everyone will know
To us, a Post Whore is a Ukelele Hero!

2nd place: DanaC winz a Ukulele Underground Hoodie and a post whore poetry book

Words I can't formulate in my head
I think and think and my mind goes dead
I post to write it down
I post to hear that clicking sound

I can't stop my mind until it goes blank
The page is full and my mind goes dank
I need to post so I can breathe
This heavy burden on my chest will leave

Late at night my mind won't stop
I type and let my fingers pop
Posting something fills this space
My heart is pounding like in a race

Posting what I can't verbalize
Clicking away until I realize
I have to post more and more
Simply because I am a post whore

3rd place: Yopparai winz a Ukulele Underground T-shirt and post whore poetry book

How shouldst we then regard yon faire post whore
who shares with ease his positions and his thought?
His tapping fingers post more than he ought;
or should we, rather, ask him to post more?
He selfishly doth tend to prattle on,
Narcissus primping, his mirror now a screen;
Or selflessly he slaves on his machine
That we his wit and wisdom gaily don.
His posts, now thousandfold, the forums cluttered-
No thread is read but through them we must trod;
or reward his deep engagement, making him a mod
and against him not another curse be uttered.

For all his faults and virtues it could be worse.
The Post Whore is a blessing... and a curse.

Winners, please PM me your addresses and garment size/color (if applicable. Khrome, the Sopranino only comes in XS) so I can send your prizes over.

Here is a link to the original contest thread in case anybody wants to see the rest of the entries. Thanks again to all who participated!!!

you're quite welcome. thanks for the awesome poem(s)! it wasn't easy picking a winner. had to do it American Idol style and narrow it down in rounds. lot of drama, simon frowned, paula swooned, randy called a lot of people "dog". at the end, we had a winner.:)

I got the Ohana today! Many many thanks to Russ. Wow this little thing is loud. I tried to record a vid with my camera but for some reason it would only record a small amount of time and shut off (wasn't a battery problem.) Obviously I need to RTFM.

Anyhoo, I took some unboxing pics - Russ packed it safely in peanuts with a note written on the back of the lyrics to Hamburguesa, and the neck safely wrapped in polka-dot boxers.

Also, a size comparison pic - Pono Soprano, Ohana, and Manini.

Hey Khrome can you give us first impressions of your Sopranino especially compared to your Manini? I'm seriously considering a mini uke and can't afford the KoAloha Sopranino.

I got home today and my prize was in the mail box. This was a great contest, and, well... Words just don't seem to be enough to express my gratitude to Russ for his generosity, so...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jRNZNcBH_uQ

I will be wearing it to the office tomorrow.. guess that would be today now.

Now, am I being too lazy if I use this same video as my next entry to Grumpy's BtS challenge AND as an entry for the All things Reggae Contest???

Just thought I would say that I have gotten a number of nice comments about my new styling t-shirt at the office today. It has made me cooler! Then I tell them I won it, and they assume it was for playing and I am instantly even more cooler. I made the mistake of clarifying once that it was for poetry, not playing. That dampen the cool a bit, so now I just smile and puff out my chest.
