American music supply has a lightly blemished sale on a Marlin ck1 , they call it scratch and dent, at 279.00 with a 45 day return period. I have bought from them.

Where do you see the $279 one? I only find one for $347

The C1K is an amazing bargain, but it's not a USA model. It's made in Mexico. For a newer US-made Martin, you'd have to go up to the C2K ... or a vintage Martin 1C.

... or a vintage Martin 1C.. Correct. Of which only around 9000 were made, in total, in fifty years, compared to as many as 14000 sopranos in a single year. So, hard to find, and costly when you do. That said, they retain value nicely, the vintage ones. Gluck w the hunt, op.

I have a real nice C1K with tweed hard shell case that I'd be willing to part with...

PM me if interested.

Go to American music supply. Look under scratch and dent sales ukuleles. Or go to Martin ck1 and click on the drop down menu for availability and the scratch and dent will pop up if notnsold. Or just speak to someone on phone.

this is probably about as cheap as you're going to find a newer USA Martin concert...

The case is not the tweed case but the Gator Journeyman Series Wooden Concert Ukulele Case...
