Noooooo!! Not the Hollywood! (But I'll give it a bump anyway):)

A few questions please:

1. Hard to tell from the pics, but does this uke have a heel crack?
2. What is the reason for the raised fretboard where it joins the body?
3. Is the finish loss due to normal wear or was it stripped by someone in the past?
4. Is the action low, normal or high?

Thank you!

Does the raised area impact the playability in any way?

That's a nice uke, and while not in the market, this question seems to be the only hinderence to its sale at this price.

There is a Schireson who can be reached on Jim Beloff's site. I had contacted him about a Hollywood banjo uke. He said he was interested in traditional figure eight shaped ukes. I don't know if he monitors U/U.

I second Neal's question about whether the raised area of the fretboard affects playability. Any buzzing, as a result?
Also- where are the repaired cracks? Can you post close up pics of the cracks?
Thanks very much!
Ernie
