Looking at fitting a donor (tenor) size neck. To one of the Vox eleuku VEU 33 concert.

Any thoughts out there in the underground?

It really comes down to whether or not the Tenor and Concert bodies are identical.

For a bolt on neck, if the neck pocket is the same and the position of the bridge is the same, it may be as simple as bolting on a new neck (may have to shim it for the correct angle).

If they are not, the mods would probably be pretty tough, maybe impossible (within reason that you don't have a wood working/machine shop) if the neck pockets were different.

EDIT ADDED: The above is based if the attachment is similar to a Fender Strat.

Unless finding a neck that fits and the labour involved is very easy for you...I would just buy a new tenor electric ukulele (eg: Pono, Risa, Godin, Fluke) with less time and effort..

Even if the new tenor neck fits the body, the bridge and saddle may not be located in the right place for the new tenor neck and your intonation will be way off, to the point it would be unplayable.

The distance from the nut to the 12th fret must equal the distance from the 12th fret to the saddle.

Agreed. Any of those listed will be vastly superior to the Vox even though they do cost more, in some cases considerably more.

That's great advice thanks for that. Most useful.
