Nud blues

The Applause UA-10 I purchased arrived today. I liked everything about it but... The neck has a nasty twist in it so it's going back! Darn!!! Thankfully the retailer has a good return policy.

Does anyone else make a composite round back soprano besides Aiersi. I've already tried to find one of there's without any luck!

In my opinion, perhaps you dodged a bullet. I used to have an Applause UA-10.. couldnt find much use for it as it was not all that great as an acoustic or an electric (mine had very imbalanced pickup sensitivity on different strings).

I heard the older Korean made models were better, but most you find these days are the Made in China ones

This is what I did with mine. It is the worst sounding uke I have ever played. I won't tell you what I named it. But it was my first and what I learned on..

Fluke and Flea ukuleles both come with a round composite back and wooden top, and in soprano scale. Lots of discussion here on UU. I love the ones I have. See the link in my signature below to go directly to the Magic Fluke Company web site to learn more.

Fluke and Flea ukes are NOT the traditional figure-eight shape so may not appeal to everyone.

For a more traditional shaped ukulele...fellow UU brother BazMaz did a review of the Alic soprano, which is similar in shape and construction to the UA-10. Tou can read the review, and watch the enclosed video and decide for yourself.
