D-mace is selling a sweet 1950s Martin soprano because:
He bought a new watch!

What are your real reasons for selling?

Here are some of my UU favorites:
1. Thinning the herd
2. Needs to be played more (but not by me)
3. Need the money to pay for another uke
4. Looking for a good home (I'm kicking it out of mine)
5. I only play (insert size) now

This is not a serious thread people. Please have some fun.

A good summary of what we tell ourselves as well as providing an explanation to a prospective purchaser.

"I've decided to explore a different aspect of my artistry" (aka: my wife made me)

... To finance my drinking/ drug/ alcohol problem
... Because I'm moving
... To try to finance a vacation--- but then when I get back I'll just buy more!

This is one game I can't participate in ... I refuse to sell any of my Ukes and fall into a world of regret like some others here have... :p

Even though it's good, it's the worst one out of the ukes I own...Actually, it's not that good

I want to try a different wood combo (aka this one sounds like crap)

It is too heavy (aka this one sounds like crap)

This fretboard is too narrow for me (aka this one sounds like crap)

I prefer a rosewood fretboard (aka this on sounds like crap)

I would rather not have a pin bridge ( aka this one sounds like crap)

****It is all code for (this one sounds like crap)

Because I hate myself for being overly materialistic

The folk at Witness Protection said too many people may recognize the ukes I own and that could compromise me.....

How about this one:
I hate it, but you'll love it!
$1,500 Shipping included CONUS only.

I believed the hype and now the bills have come due.

I need to sell because sex is better than looking at my multiple ukes. ( meaning = The wife is pissed I spent more money on an instrument. )

I spent all this money on a uke and I'm still no better. Maybe it'll make you better :)

You can say "It's not you...its me" but the bottom line is that they disappointed us. We're getting rid of them 'cuz we don't like them enough to keep them. Sometimes it's the size, sometimes it's just that the uke doesn't look, feel or sound (at least in our hands) like we expected, and if it did, we'd be keeping it.

LOL read: This one sounds like crap to me now (but once I was dumb enough to like it... or think I did!) Yeah, been there plenty of times. :D
