Thank you so much for posting that. It was really touching and makes one grateful for what one has. I am grateful that she found the ukulele and grateful that I did as well. What is it with this instrument that makes it so different?????

Absolutely great. In the mid 70s I was a co-producer for the Easter Seals Los Angeles Telethons and I learned so much about the resiliency of people with disabilities. It's truly inspirational.

I believe that it is that the ukulele is so charmingly accommodating of players of all levels and skills. It is not an instrument that "judges" its player. Play it like Jake, Kalei or Brittni, or strum three chords to a song, it is still music, and music soothes even wild beasts.
