Can a tenor take ADF#B tuning?

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I was wondering if a tenor would be able to take the extra tension of ADF#B tuning, as I don't want to damage the neck so I'm a bit wary of attempting it.
 
Yes. Use a "normal" tension set will get you high tension . . possibly too high, but a low tension set should work well.

Southcoast's website has TONS of info, and of course recommendations for their sets in that tuning.
 
A string set like South Coast's LML-NW is like medium-light tension and can be tuned to ADF#B without any extra stress on the instrument. In fact, I have just done that on one of my ukes with that exact set of strings.

As others have said, either a lighter gauged set or one that's listed as D TUNING will work fine on a tenor.
