I've never heard one but I ordered a new Style 3 Martin in cherry. It's not coming for awhile though. Apparently Cherry was a popular instument wood up until the 50's when it became harder to get. Now a new breed of tree is creating a supply of sustainable wood for industry so it's making it's return. At the FMBB a couple of noted builders mentioned some ukes made of cherry with positive results. Like any wood on any uke, if it's well built for sound by an experienced builder, it will sound good.
