Scrap for Peg Head Veneer

I had piece of scrap from a cutoff from a myrtle top plate and decided to use it for some peg head veneer. As I was working with it, it started to look like a boat on a chocolate ocean or maybe a butte in the desert so I put in a yellow MOP fret board marker as a moon. Thought I would pass along a picture before it gets all cluttered up with tuner pegs and stings... Now back to our regular programming.

Awesome! I love it when trees do the work crafting beautiful images for us :) Here's one from the space-themed guitar I'm working on, using a sapwood splotch as a planetary nebula:

Originally had a worm hole in the center, which the gold MOP dot star conveniently covers.
