Museum quality seems almost derogatory.
Amazing.

That thing is stunning. Mr. Chuck, I can't imagine the hours it takes you to build something like that. Thanks to the op for posting. Chuck, thanks for giving us ukers something to dream about.

The sound is as much of a pleasure as the looks! Amazing instrument in every way...

Congratulations to both Chuck and the person who has the privilege to own this lovely work of art!

Beautiful work of art, that inlay. I love the 3D effect, and the water looks so real.

Come on, Len, you can't post "NUD" unless you it's a New Uke Day. Maybe we need "SENUD" (Somebody Else's New Uke Day). ;-)

That is a very, very spectacular piece of work!

Party-pooping: this is just not my cup of tea. I like my ukes bling-less. I'm glad they make ukes that please the eyes of so many people, but I just don't like it.

It’s cool, you don’t have to hide. Going #2 at the party is something mature people will tolerate.

My own MB has no bling, and I like it that way, as I'm in it for the music, but this new one features the most artful inlay work that I've seen to date. You can really see the water drip and sparkle, and how it runs over the edge onto the fretboard. That vertical continuity is a wonderful idea for an inlaid fretboard.

Let's not forget, though, that this is a wonderful sounding instrument, and I hope that it will get played a lot. The wider body that Chuck has been doing lately seems to work really well.

That Pono bari Aaron is playing in his instruction-videos gets me constipated, that's my idea of a stunning looking ukulele.

I do love the artistry of the inlay, but I agree I would not want it on one of my own instruments. If I had the money and were on Chuck Moore's list, my uke would be simpler. Not totally bling-less, but to me less is more. Personally, though, I would like to see/hear more MB sopranos and concerts!

Yep, to "bling" or not to bling, that is a question but I don't think it applies in this case. Bling, to me, means gaudy, superfluous stuff added on in heaps for ego satisfying need. This is art. The ukulele is the canvas. My MB is plain and I like it that way but that in no way takes away from my appreciation of this work of art. Just looking at it in photos takes me back to the Big Island and hikes on the Hilo side and the White Trail. Thanks Chuck.

the owner is a very busy person but he does play I hear he is pretty good...:)
..it will not sit he bought it for the beauty and the perfect tone, I would not take it out too much but if it were mine it would be played....

wider bout and some bracing upgrades on the new MB ukes out now.....Chuck keeps improving

I have one MB with some headstock bling, and one without, but I love them equally. It really is the tone and playability of these ukes that makes them out of this world. That being said, I do think the new one is beautiful. :)

I agree! I have never ever heard an audio clip from any MB size other than tenor. I am dying to know how the concert size sounds, as that's my favorite size and much more comfortable than tenor (for me anyway).
