Hey there,

I'd love to see what strings you settled on with your Pono MTD!

I am about to restring my Living Waters and it would be great to hear your tips.

Best wishes,
Jerwin

So far, one friend's suggestion to me is Worth clears. But, I am also interested in hearing other string choices folks have settled on for a Pono MT on its way to me.

Have Southcoast on my 6 string.

Worth CT. Or Oasis Bright. Low G or are entrants to in either.

If you're going low G, you might try the South Coast ML-WB.
There's a whole thread on them.

Thanks. I think I am going to go high G with the tenor, because I have low G on my concert Pono MCD- Aquila Reds- and it sounds really lovely, but more like guitar to me than a ukulele should. Is there a Southcoast tenor set high G you would recommend?

Sorry, I have very little experience with their high g sets.
Maybe someone else can chime it?

It's interesting that you're going to use the smaller uke for low g, and the larger uke for high G.
Nothing wrong with that, but kinda opposite what I would have thought.

How about Martin strings?

I think slightly higher tension strings than Living Waters might work better.

How do these stand?

Yes, it is odd. But, I did the concert low G because I am trying to get my wife to play with me and she said she felt weird with the high G string set. I have another concert strung high G for me to use, and the tenor is for me- I am currently liking high G.
