Where do you guys get the cross grain spruce for the back seam? I have tried searching this site and google, looked on LMI, StewMac, and RC Tonewoods. Is it available as bracing material or do you have to make your own from a top set?

I get most of mine from www.Hanalima.com, However I believe RC Tonewoods and some of the regular luthier supply retailers sell it as well.

I make my own but I use the same material the back is made of. I like the look.

I'm still making my first uke and cut my back graft strips from the end of the board for my top.

Thanks guys, guess I'll send some emails. I like the idea for using the back material as well.... Michael, I just checked your site - you make some beautiful art.....
