There have been many threads (not so recently though) on making ukulele as a business. Well, it's tough and making money is hard. Fortunately I have sponsored help this and for the first time ever I have ended the year in credit with a small surplus. My associate/employee/elf/genius graduate has moved the work along at triple the pace and by April I will have cleared all back orders. It is extraordinary how any of us can do this stuff on our own  I cannot imagine finding myself having to sand out, spray finish and set up ever again. We made a 6ft work station island out of mdf. Only took an hour with both of us working together - me as labourer for a change. The synergy created by two people with similar passion for making, equal skills and different specialisms has come together so well. I even get time to think!

If you can ever do it get someone in - division of labour really works to increase output. I have been so very blessed to have someone with highly developed skills both in the workshop and inter-personal... Looking forward to what next year brings :)
