The Pono hook-up? I smell something fishy

I am always looking for a good deal and set searches for Pono for several sites.

I got a few hits for Pono out of Boston this morning.
Read on.

This post came up out of the Boston area 17 hours ago.(the same uke was just relisted less than an hour ago: linked at bottom)
Read the second paragraph.

For those that don't want to go to the link it says:
"This is new from the factory. I have a friend who works for in Hawaii and sets them up and he is able to get me great ukes. If I sell them I do NOT sell for a profit. That is my deal with him."

Does this sound fishy to anyone else?

Even more interesting, the seller relisted the same uke in less than 24 hours with some slightly different wording.

Isn't there a guy in Hawaii who has a Pono factory connection and sells 'refurb' Pono's at a discounted price?
I am sure I have seen some come up on Ebay.

Looks like the seller has just posted the same instrument here on UU marketplace. The seller sounds very motivated.

yeah, I thought that ad was phishy...

It may be on the up and up, but anything on CL should always be carefully scrutinized.

Sounds like a business person using Craig's List.
