[The Real] Uke Lesson 16 - Stuck On You!

Hey people - This month's episode of Uke Lessons is finally here (again)!

Uke Lesson 16 - Stuck On You

Check it out, absorb it, let it simmer, and if you got any questions whatsoever (or comments, or ideas, or snide remarks, or encouraging words), lay them down below!

This was awesome, I've been waiting for a "stuck on you" tutorial. You guys make learning these songs very easy with the lesson here and the play along on youtube. Now i'll be playing this and drop baby drop non-stop.

Muchas Gracias

Yea I love this song... cool..

But I think it should have been called Lesson 16.5 or something. I thought Rayan did a good job on his :shaka:

it doesnt sound right

i tried to follow along with the picking part, but for some reason it sounds nothing like what its supposed to!

always wanted to learn the picking for this song, lesson was great. Getting home from work and seeing stuck on you lesson was my Night cap. hehe.

I really like how most of the lesson songs are what i would call 'sexy tunes'.
Totally rocks.

Nice tutorial! One song that I've been playing for a long time (minus the picking). :)

Thanks guys!

Tips on Lifting the Pinky Finger

I really like this song and would very much like to learn it but i'm having a hard time with the pinky finger lifts. My pinky is too stiff and tiny. :( Dang genetics. Haha :)

Any tips/exercises that you'd recommend to help me out here?

Hope you have an awesome ukelele-playing day. :)

Probably the best exercise is just holding your chord, muting with your pinky and practicing the lift over and over again. You don't have to strum at first, just work on your pinky coordination. Most people's pinky fingers work in conjunction with their ring fingers, so focus on making your pinky independent of your ring and other fingers.

Aldrine did an exercise on finger independence here:

But for the most part, the more you practice the pinky lifts, the easier it will get. You are definitely not alone on this one, though. There was recently a thread about this very topic offering sympathy, encouragement, and alternatives to the pinky mute:

good luck!
