I've been out of the loop for a while and just got a look at one of Jerry Hoffman's latest creations; the A style walnut/cedar tenor shown on The Ukelele Site. I am fortunate to have been able to have Jerry build me a tenor/baritone matching pair using cocobolo and spruce. I really didn't think it could get any better but the design innovations, the beauty of that book-matched walnut, and the craftsmanship just blows me away. Jerry thinks outside the box and colors outside the lines and the results are not only works of art but acoustical engineering marvels. I can't even begin to do justice in trying to describe the sound of his creations. Keep up the good work, Jerry.

To all the great UUers out there, a very happy and healthy new year. Keep on strummin'!

I agree, that sure is an intriguingly beautiful instrument.

Love the a style, especially with the beveled edge. I contacted Andrew at HMS about it and he spoke very highly of the instrument, describing it as warm, woody, very punchy, and very open. All the sound board sure must pack a punch!
