Nice comparison. I think your second voice sounded bett...ah, the ukuleles? Both sound pretty good, small and portable but you could use any of the two if you wanted to annoy the person next to you by playing really loud. Good stuff.
The YT comments mention the less crispy Ohana sound, but that must just be the tuning. Things will differ if you tune that one up a bit more as well, like HH did.
I guess that $54 shipping charge to Japan for the Ohana isn't so bad after all...:cheers:

But where do you get a Tangi Manini these days outside the US? They must be pretty rare by now.

Yeah, it's pretty tough ever since they went under. I heard he has a craigslist listing, but he never said anything about international shipping.
That was an excellent comparison vid!!! Methinks I need to change the strings on the Manini. hmmmm
