I like Fremont Blacklines, which, if I'm not mistaken (and I might be) are made my the same Japanese company as Kiwaya. I buy mine from LucysUke on eBay, or from Elderly Music online. Cheers!

+1 Fremont strings are nice. I am currently using PhD's on a soprano and they are quite nice, but so were South Coast Mediums on the same ukulele. Aquilla Nylgut were a bit too heavy for my soprano; I seem to get better sustain and accuracy out of fluorocarbon strings.

I have a Famous FS-5 - I like it with any fluorocarbon strings - Worth's and Martin's. Haven't tried Fremont's yet on that one but they're nice too.
