View Full Version : FS: Glyph Custom Koa Concert

I haven't played my Glyph koa concert much lately, been playing mostly tenors. Never thought I'd sell it, but why let it sit mostly unplayed. Time for another player to enjoy it. Dave Means retired from building about 5 years ago, and his outstanding work seldom comes up for sale. I am the second owner of this one (it is not dated).

This gorgeous uke is in excellent condition with no dings or dents. There are some strum marks on the upper bout. See pics. I don't have all the specs on it, so I'll give the details from my observations.

• All curly koa body, gloss finish (not sure if lacquer or French Polish)
• Slightly domed soundboard and back
• (Looks like) koa neck with nice curl,
• Carbon fiber neck reinforcement
• Rosewood fretboard 13-fret to the body, 17-fret overall
• Curly koa head plate with Glyph signature Paua inlay
• Koa/Rosewood bridge
• Ebony nut and compensated ebony saddle
• Paua rosette with W/B/W purfling on inside and outside
• Rosewood body binding top/back
• W/B/W Purling on top
• Gorgeous paua inlays on fretboard 3,5,7,10 frets
• Side paua dots on 3,5,7,10,12,15 frets
• Gold plated Gotoh friction tuners with ebony wood buttons
• Strap button on end of lower bout
• Worth Brown Medium strings
• Includes a quality hard case with 3-latches

It sounds terrific, here’s a recent sound sample with Worth Browns.

SOLD Thanks!
