Hey everyone!
Learning to uke & I've started with a cheap ukulele but decided to put better strings on to improve the sound. I followed the guides I had to restring & all but the C string sounds right. Now I have both a physical tuner & the yousician app on my phone to help me tune & they both say that it's in tune but going through the scales (G-C-E-A) & it sounds wrong (best word I can think of).
Help
:music:

Try matching it with another string,
e.g. Try the C string 7th fret against the open G string, should be the same.

Edit: Also C string 4th fret against the open E string, or C string 9th fret against the A string.

How floppy is it? If it is very loose, it could be an octave too low. Or the others could be an octave too high.
Uke1950's technique is good.

Thanks guys. Will try both of those......although I'm cautious with winding too much as I have snapped a previous G string....:wallbash:

Thanks for the help guys! All sorted now, sounds much better! I can continue with my lessons now!:music:
