Interesting ideas from the 1920s

There were lots of different "tone enhancers" back then. Gibson tried the Virzi tone producer for a while in their mandolins but this one looks more like a reverb kinda thingy. None of them seemed to survive the 1920's so I guess they didn't live up to the marketing
Might be fun to try one....looks easy to make one and stick it in there

Hmm...cool cookie tin uke. It would be fun to experiment with different springs to get the best reverb
 
Thanks Titch. Interesting. A sort of Jews Harp for ukulele? I just wonder what the luthier was smoking when he came up with this idea.
