Jake is one of the best builders around...this uke sold in 2 hours....:)

Congrats Jake

The word that always pops into my head when I see one of his instruments is "immaculate." They look so precise and clean. I'm on the fence between a Hive and a Ko'olao CS.

can not go wrong with Noa or Jake building you a great uke...how far is it to Jake's shop in West Virginia?
main build difference is the finish the Ko'olau has a nitro finish and Jake uses polyester...both are nice...and they build them perfect..no flaws to be found...:)

good luck with your decision....

Two great builders to choose from. Some more differences to consider, along with the different finishes, are 12 vs. 14 frets to the neck, and some options like a slotted headstock or a side sound port (they seem to be standard with Jake's, but Noah has started including them, too). A lot will probably come down to personal preference regarding design.
