CANCELLED - The 2016 Great Ukulele Campout of Southern California - June 17-19

REGRETFULLY, WE HAVE MADE THE DECISION TO CANCEL this year's Ukulele Camp Out.

There were very few reservations, and we felt that, with such a small turnout, we could not offer the experience everyone has come to expect. We hope to bring the event back in the future so please keep an eye on our Facebook page for details!

Thanks again for your support,

Bambi

Join us for our 3rd annual campout, Friday June 17 - Sunday June 19! Featuring intermediate & advanced workshops by Brett "2ch" Santucci of Pluckin Strummers, and beginning workshops by Bambi Leigh Hale of the Honolulu Avenue Strummers, as well as special guest workshop instructors to be announced!

Campfire jams! Sing-alongs! Old and new friends! More fun than you would ever imagine you could fit into a camping weekend!

Our camp will once again be held among the pines in the spacious Group Camp #1 of McGill Campground, Mt. Pinos, just a 1hr 45 minute drive from Los Angeles. Bring your tent and camping gear. Meals will be pot luck with hopefully more organized group dinners in the evenings, to be determined. We will have an almost full moon this year, and will enjoy long cool days just shy of the summer solstice.

Not a camper? Join us for the day(s), or stay overnight at a cozy B&B in nearby Pine Mountain Club. There is also room for a liminted number of RVs in our parking lot, so contact us right away to make those arrangements.

This campsite has room for only 80 campers! To sign up, or for more information, please contact us at our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/UkuleleCampout - or email us at UkuleleCampout@gmail.com.

Workshop schedules and suggested donation amounts to follow shortly....

Can't wait to strum with y'all among the pines again!

EXCITING NEWS: We're just booked the fabulous Fred Sokolow to join us as our special guest workshop instructor! Fred joined us last year and taught two amazing, intimate workshops, and then stayed to entertain us around the campfire into the evening hours. We are overjoyed that he will once again be joining us.

For more information, or to sign up, please contact us at our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/UkuleleCampout - or email us at UkuleleCampout@gmail.com.

Went to this event last year, was a blast. Good classes, especially found Fred Sokolow's slide-ukulele class interesting. Good food, campfire with kanikapila, some old friends there last year and made some new ones. Does get a little chilly - at altitude, so not the same as the L.A. forecast - be prepared for that. Most people camped, a few just came up for the day. Good times!

Not to steel the thread or event. We are still going to camp for the weekend.
Bring your Uke and we'll do some jammin'.

WE LOVE IT! So glad to see the Uke Camp spirit living on! Hope you have a wonderful time - be sure and share some photos with us!

Well it was a great weekend in the mountains. Given the heat in the valley it was a cool 72 in the mountains.
Would have been nice to meet folks from the area, but I guess there is just no interest in Uke gatherings.
