Hodge, the strings are the new South Coast ML-WB which are medium linear with wound 3rd & 4th strings. David really liked the sound of those strings on this uke. He thought the deeper concert size body supported the low G sound well.

I recorded that straight from my Samsung S4 phone without any external mic connected. Not bad for a bare bones recording set up.
