I have a friend who has a Gretsch soprano from the 40s he would like to trade for a Martin C1K (Mexican made). It is an all solid mahogany instrument.
The Gretsch had 3 or 4 cracks that have been repaired. I played the instrument and was impressed with its sound and playability.
