Just fixed up this beautiful vintage soprano. It is a Sherwood, which was made by Gretsch. It is all mahogany with rare black/white binding around the top. Despite the multiple cracks and bracing that needed repaired, this thing sounds loud and proud. A fine example of the vintage soprano sound. Also, I added new Grover tuners, Worth strings, bone nut, side dots and dressed the frets.

You can see the location of the top cracks, but they are now cleated and solidly glued. Has normal scratches and cosmetic wear for an old uke.image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg The action is low and it is a breeze to play. $215 includes shipping in the us. Please don't message me here, write to info@thebeansprout.com.

With my eyes closed, I can't tell the difference between my old beat up (and glued up) Gretsch and my favorite Martin Style 1...

Aaron, this one has a side binding that mine doesn't have. I think of it as a Gretsch/Sherwood Style 1. :)
