I recently picked up an old Harmony that has what appears to be Aquila Nylgut stings. But when I try to find them I can't find any sets that come with a single wound D string. Also the diameters don't match anything out there.

1st - E = .58mm/.0225
2nd - B = .75mm/.0295
3rd - G = .92mm/.036
4th(w) - D = .70mm/.0275

Here is a pic...

For once I find a ukulele with a set of strings that seem to be perfect and I have no idea what the strings are.

I appreciate any help.

Camsuke,

Thanks for the info. From years ago, I remember Savarez as clear nylon, these are definitely a white color and from using Nylguts a number of years ago they sure feel like them.

Could it be possible that these are soprano Nylguts?

Has anyone used soprano strings on a baritone?

Sounds crazy, but a 19" baritone scale tuned to G.

Nylgut soprano...
1st A - .60 mm
2nd E - .73 mm
3rd C - .91 mm
