I am not a luthier, nor an amateur luthier, just an handyman “stringed-instrument maker” (moreover not always skillful with his ten fingers !!), who discovered a new passion in the manufacturing of ukulélés :).
I am living in France (excuse my English !), and I present you my work in this site (in French) :

Salut Philou, et bienvenu au sus-sol (french for Underground?). Your work looks very nice, and so do the tools you made!

Nice work. Are you going to try a traditional shaped uke next? I'd like to see what side bender you make.

Thank you, very nice work. You've given me the inspiration I was looking for to build my fret-slotting jig.

"Un ukulélé Pineapple réalisé avec des cagettes de pommes de terre de Noirmoutier"
MDR!

For those of you who don't read French, he made his pineapple uke using wood from potato crates, but not just any potatoes, Noirmoutier potatoes, which are very nice potatoes indeed.

Recycling is wonderful.

Thank's a lot for the words.

Noirmoutier potatoes are very nice, but very expensive :(
This is the bottom :88561

For the moment, i prefer pinneapple and i don't try traditionnal shape uke, for the bending i use iron and :88562

Have a good day:)

Qui est un ukulélé l'air très beau. Un luthier est comme un luthier fait . Bon travail.

(courtesy of Google - That is a handsome ukulele. A luthier is as a luthier does. Great job)
