Been thinking about different things I can try on my baritone uke. I like the sound of the D'Addario nyltechs, but the second string (B) is rather thick. Thinking about giving Aquila New Nylgut a try. Has anyone here tried both and can offer a comparison?

Also, I've been thinking about getting a single Low G string for a tenor from the Aquila Red line and using that as my third (G) string. Can't be positive but it looks like Bartt Warburton does this in one of his videos.

Any other interesting string combinations you folks try?

Hi G or Low G? I have Martins on my vintage Martin Bari and Southcoast on my Webber. Both are Low G. I tried Aquilas a couple of times and didn't like the feel of the string.

Thanks Camsuke! I'll check into those strings.

Patrick Madsen: I was talking about the low G strings from the Aquila red set, and using it as the G strings on my baritone.
