I have a bamboo Eddie Finn Tenor. Plays great. Sounds great. Wonderful instrument.
This is also the only ukulele I've ever owned that the wood has split on. I've been informed by folks with more experience with such things than myself that it was probably a result of the electric heat in my apartment. It will cost you about half as much as a new one to get fixed, so buy a humidifier if you don't already own one.
My biggest mistake was selling mine to a friend who is in our group. I get to see it...hear it..watch her enjoy it...but not play it. They are really nice. I just bought one from my supplier that came back as having come apart on the top and bottom at almost every joint to the one beside it. I am gluing it back together. Gosh the tuners on it are worth more than the $2.00 they charged me. I can always remove the neck and make a cigar box or a cookie tin ukulele out of it.
